Casa Arenosa's location is the best place to stay where you can easily walk to the best of Cabo Matapalo's activities and tours!  (We didn't rent a car for this trip, so walkability was essential!)

Since Casa Arenosa is on Backwash Beach, we spent many days surfing, and hiking along the jungle trails to other nearby beaches to swim, boogie board, and lounge and have a picnic.

Other days, we had a blast when the caretaker, Chiky, took us on a guided tour to a local waterfall and he pointed out the iconic poison dart frogs (that we would have never noticed!), toucans, monkeys and even a sleeping sloth!

We also took a tour to the Corcovado National Park with OsaWild tour company which was outstanding. (they pick you up near at the house and drive you to the park)

We highly recommend staying at Casa Arenosa where you have the best of all worlds!
